About Me

Hello! I am Kim Thanh Xuân, a software developer based in München. Over the past few years, I've immersed myself in systems programming, compiler design, and runtime architectures. I am deeply fascinated by how high-level software abstractions interface with hardware at the lowest levels.

My language of choice is Rust—leveraging its strict memory safety guarantees, zero-cost abstractions, and fearless concurrency to architect reliable and ultra-performant systems.

My flagship endeavor right now is Naux, an experimental language and runtime system. When I'm not writing code, I enjoy exploring security research and dissecting complex architectural patterns.

Experience

2024 — Present

Open Source Creator & Lead Developer

Naux Project

Leading the architecture and development of Naux, an experimental high-performance programming language and runtime system written in Rust.

  • Designed custom lexical analyzer, recursive-descent parser, and AST validation engine.
  • Implemented memory arena management and bytecode dispatch with zero-cost runtime checks.
  • Authored official TextMate grammar extension for editor tooling integration.
2022 — 2024

Software Developer

Freelance / Personal Projects

Specialized in Rust and backend development, CLI utilities, and developer productivity tooling.

  • Created canonical grammar extensions for Visual Studio Code and optimized CI/CD pipelines.
  • Researched memory safety paradigms, concurrency primitives, and micro-benchmarking suites.
